Touted as an enhanced version of Austin's classic, it contains an estimated 30% new material. I had to pick it up despite the fact that A) I had never read Pride and Prejudice (I know I know... smack me. A bookworm who has never bothered with one of the classics, shameful really.) and B) the skeptical part of me had to see how much of a train wreck this might be. Regardless of how you feel about emo rocker Peter Wentz, you have to admit the clash of robots and music is a pretty nifty concept. Fall Out Toy Works, is a five-issue series published by Image and created by Peter Wentz with designer Darren Romanelli (the man behind the reinterpretations of Nike, Looney Tunes and Black Sabbath), and writer Brett Lewis (the acclaimed creator of BULLETPROOF MONK and The Wintermen).

That endorsement was enough for me to pick this up in hardcover, despite the fact it's not available for Kindle and it thinks it's a Young Adult book.

The title is a nod to "1984," meaning it's a slippery slope to Big Brother and we may be closer than we think. The action takes place in the San Francisco of the near future; it's just a little more technologically advanced than we are.
