i am looking for a good headset and i am considering buying a set of trurtle beach's! i heard alot of good things about them but they are exspencive! so let me know if they are worth it or if there is more avalibel that are cheaper and better?
My husband has a pair of Turtle Beach's (the X1's), he loves them. They were on sale when we bought them (39.99$ CDN vs 69.99$ CDN at Wal-Mart), but I think even at the regular price, they're a good deal.... plus I think they might be a bit cheaper in the US??
They're pretty comfy and they have a long cord, so you're not stuck 3 feet from your tv, lol. I've head a lot of mixed reviews about the wireless Turtle Beach's. Either you love them or you hate them, and either you notice a lot of feedback or you don't.
Well, if you REALLY want one of the best, it comes with quite a heavy price... Astro A30 Audio System I saved up to get the A40 MLG Edition ones, which I've been using for 'bout a year now... >_< BUT, the Turtle Beach is also good and cheaper, so it may be the way to go for you...
I use a turtle beach headset. Got it for Christmas this year and absolutley love it. Like Kitty said, it's not the best out there but you should definitely still be satisfied. For me, it has been worth every penny.
My turtle beach is wireless and I still love it. It works great. I can play for hours each day no problem but when the batteries get low, i always keep them on hand to swap out real quick. During weapons training with Kitty, i didnt realize i ran out of batteries and was upset since i had to use my other headset for the rest of the night but i got over it lol.
I use Turtle Beach X11's and they are great. My husband has the X31's and the battery issue is a problem. They also click when the batteries are low or the phone needs charging for some reason. Other than that, I love them because I can hear everything very clear.
thanx all for the info. io really want the turtle beach ones cuz i tryed these skull candies ones and they were awefull! so my next bet r the turtle beach . i am thinking of getting the ones that are the lessed exspencive wierless ones. we shall see!
I have the x4's and I honestly can't game without them now.
You can hear every movement around you and although when your talking to people, it comes through the same bit as the game noise, it doesn't interfere at all.
I've swapped back to a normal headset the other day and my friends were like 'uh Jen why has your voice gone all weird and quite' lol so they also make you easier to hear =)

U can play the game audio threw them. that's what's nice about them if i am playing MW2 and my daughter is sleeping i can listen to the game itself threw the head set without her hearing anything! i do have to plug it in to ur tv but once u do it's pretty awesome!
I have the turtle beach x4's and they are fantastic. Saved my relationship. I can game all night with the tv volume turned down all the way...
no wires and compatible with the 360...good times...
I bought the Enloop AA rechargeable batteries that are brilliant with these headphones. They last a lot longer than normal batteries do.
