I love technology. I did take a few computer classes in college....computer science. I don't know much about programming but I love working on things. I've repaired many xboxes and pc's with no formal training.

I'm not afraid to take something apart. I love to know how things work.

I'm actually the opposite of a techie. I manage to break things in such a way I leave experts scratching their heads at what actually happened. LOL

Awesome! Do you do any PC gaming? Sometimes some of the girls and I try to play some multiplayer on the weekends.
I just paid to have my gaming rig built...I wish I had time to make my own.

mhm I do, but not a whole whole lot.. I only have my laptop which I got from a collage grant. thankfully I was looking at high end graphic like corsses so they opted for the better graphics card.

it done most things I've tossed at it pretty dam well, but there is a limit. I havn't been able to play SCII at all.. the traning tatorals even on the lowest settings crawled like I was using a anchent form of tech the game engine had never heard of lol.

what kind of games? I only reall multy player that comes to mind that I have for my laptop is Starcraft I, Borderlands (which plays "ok" no where as smoth as it is on my xbox) and both L4DI/II (which I've yet to play at all) thats off the top of my head.. I might have some others ^^;

Well mostly I play Valve or Steam games...Left 4 dead 1 and 2, Alien Swarm, Magicka etc.
I have a ton of other games that I just can't think of. I will give any game a shot.
If you ever feel like getting some pc gaming on check out this thread.

I'm a techie in the sense of loving technology. I've been hooked since I was about 3 years old playing my NES. Always thought I would graduate in something related to techy-shtoof & work in the area professionally but went in a completely different direction. I'm as excited about technology as I was when I was a kid & a read a lot of related websites and magazines. I'm also always looking for the 'next new toy'. None of my girl friends are into technology at all but they get my addiction.

I'm a bit of a techie. I was trained in system administration and some basic programming for 3 years, so I do have some knowledge about networking, assembling computers and writing tiny scripts. And I love it smile Love figuring out how to get something running or working the way I want it to work. I'm definitely no pro, but usually I do trial and error long enough to get the result I want, e.g. finally setting up a proxy and a virtual network to connect to the UK marketplace from Germany wink

I also love all sorts of geeky gadgets and toys! Yay!
