We were able to get a sweet deal on a new 250 G hard drive for the Xbox. The only transfer kit we have for transfering the data from our old 120 G to the new 250 is the old transfer kit. Will that one work? I would hate to loose 5 years of data if we screw it up. As soon as we transfer it I can get my own system up and running (I will take the 120 and my husband will take the 250 because he is the one that plays Rockband more), we have just been scared to do it. Will the old transfer kit work on the new larger 250 drive?

1) Got a USB drive? I recommend backing up some of your stuff on it before you start any of this.

The first version that ends in a -01 and -02 will not work with the 250gb drive. The 2nd and 3rd versions will work with the 250gb drive and work on drives that have been transferred in the past.

Here are the known working disc numbers.

This is the one I used.
Media Set: X13-45472-03
Part No: X13-45328-04

and

Media Set: X13-53192-03
Part No. X13-45328-04

Any numbers higher then those will work since it would be a newer version of the software.
