Players can also customize their Firefight experience by tailoring variables to adjust for a match including: game type, skulls, enemy waves types, and load outs available. Once you create your custom Firefight Match, you can share it with the community through the game so others can play - it much like Halo 3 had custom game types for versus multiplayer that were shareable.
Game Modes:
* Classic - identical to ODST Firefight but default mode removes Blackeye from the third round and lasts one set instead of four
* Generator Defense - which is similar to the versus mode of the same name but players must defend the generators from waves of enemies while having infinite lives.
* Rocketfight - pure chaos as players have unlimited rockets in a Firefight setting.
A few new weapons make an appearance as well - including an orbital bombardment with a weapon called a Target Locator. There's also a new armor ability called Drop Shield which provides brief cover and heals team mates.
Crossing fingers they add 4-player split screen support for this...or at least split screen system link.

Do you have Halo ODST? Firefight is basically horde wave (but in first person view like Halo multiplayer) - but alot of people got ticked because there was no player matching system. I love it, but was ticked that it only had 2 player split screen (and I have 3 halo loving kids - always felt bad that I could only pick one of them to play with me. So now I usually wait until they are asleep to play *me = evil mom* ) Plus Firefight in ODST has no custom games or maps = teh suck.
If Halo Reach Firefight has four player split screen, this very well may be the last game I ever buy LMAO...

You know I think you have every game, right? hehehe...I know alot of Halo fans hate on ODST (not saying Kitty is like that - just speaking from what I've run into online). The word most often thrown out there is "crap" LOLOL I think the hate is there mainly because the game was more like a Halo add-on than a full blown game. It comes with a single player campaign (has co-op play as well), and the multiplayer firefight mode which does seem like it was kinda done half-a$$ (no player matching, only a few maps, etc). There is a second disc that comes with it - Halo Multiplayer (basically Halo 3 without the campaign). Comes with all the Halo 3 maps - so it's a good bargain if you never bought the maps. I would say around $20ish for a copy is about right - definitely not worth $60.
Kitty is def not 1 of those haters... we do weapons training on ODST (which she does a great job at). I've actually gotten better @ Halo thanks to her. I still prefer Gears2 first of course...LOL but i'm def getting Halo Reach. the beta made me just want it more!

LOL!!! Oh good because lately I've been swearing up a storm in Left4Dead2 with Hubs and our friend. Usually at Nick (the AI when we play) who just HAS to startle the Witch, take down the clowns before I can burn them and swoop in & swipe health kits. But also when inevitably the Smoker chooses to make off with me above the others. Guess I'm special. LOL

Biggest change for me was getting the radar back (THANK GOD!!!!!!)
It was the one reason I liked Firefight less in ODST. ODST is actually the only Halo game to-date that I've enjoyed the single player more than the 'multiplayer' option. My best friend can vouch that I will only play ODST firefight after much whining, even though there are achievements I can still get...
H:R FF is going a much different route. You'll see both traditional slayer style games with wave after wave of enemy, as well as Skirmish types (Generator defense, etc). I spent about 3 hours* playing at the Bungie/343/Xbox event Tues night, and a huge chunk of that was playing basically a Rockets variation. There is something incredibly satisfying about selecting the Jet pack, shooting straight up into the air, and blowing apart a group of Grunts/Jackles or Elites with a single rocket...double, triple, overkill!! I was giggling like a maniac right to the end.
*(I would like to specify that I didn't keep anyone from playing the game, I found a console that was facing a back corner and in about an hour and a half, not a single person came to bump me off, although every single other console was in regular use...)
