*raises hand* I AM! I also started reading the books, my plan was to stay a book behind the season but I failed at that and finished the 3rd book earlier this week and plan on continuing to the 4th . I luff the show

I read all 9 books in like a couple short weeks. I must say as much as I love the show, they are taking it in a completely different direction than the books and certain things are being revealed too early and in the wrong way. It is a little disappointing. However I am definitely not bored when watching the show because I never know what they're going to change. They surprise me every week!!
I read all of the books, but I am having to wait for the seasons to come out on DVD to catch up. I love some of the twists Ball is taking the show and hate others. I've noticed the early reveals, too. It seems like they are going two books per season instead of one.
YES!!! Love, love, love! My sisters sent Jen and I the Complete First Season for Christmas and we watched the whole thing season already!!! So, of course, we want the Second Season. I looked on our local library - checked in, yaaay! We drove HALF AN HOUR, lol and IT WAS MISSING!!! v.v
So we signed up for Netflix and will be getting the DVDs soon!
I haven't seen the show since season 1...I want to get back into it but I am afraid that because I read all the books the show will be ruined for me.
I was really not liking Tara towards the end of that season...does her character get better?
Just started watching this yesterday on DVD while I was happily grinding away in a game (any of you ladies do that too? ) and watched the first 7 episodes without even taking a break. I feel quite hooked, can't wait to get home later and finish the first season. Though I have to say I like some of the support characters better than Sookie & Bill and could do without that love story, it's a bit "been there seen that" for my taste. Some of the conversations are hilarious though, I especially like the scenes with Jason on V And Lafayette rocks as well!

I read all of the books as well. I was disappointed with some of the reveals because they either happened too early or not in the way it happened in the book. If you ever watch the second season let me know because I would very much like to discuss how much it made me mad in terms of the book and the show. I still love the show though, even if it is different.
I am currently reading book 4 (I am a slow reader so I takes me a while to get through them). I am really enjoying the book series.
I have watched season one and I am starting to work my way through sseason. The show is very addictive so I am forcing myself to only watch it when I am on the treadmill. (I have a whole bunch of anime series to watch after I am caught up on True Blood.)
I just think of the books and the TV show as two seperate things. I am just enjoying it for what it is seperately.

oh i've read all the books so much better then the series, read them read them all now! i believe the next series is my fave book! i can't wait
I just finished reading Dead in the Family. Did you find that book disappointing? I think I was pretty "meh" about it. I thought it was good but probably the weakest of the entire series.
I still love the series though.
