Ghost Hunters/Ghost Adventures/Paranormal State, etc.
Does anyone watch these?
I'm very much into the search for the paranormal and spirits and the like. I prefer Ghost Adventures over the others so it's the one I always watch. Now, I don't take everything to heart and I am often times skeptical about some of what they capture. Afterall, it is a show and networks want ratings. However, it is very entertaining to watch whether it's all fake or not.
I actually started out with Ghost Hunters, but after a while it became very boring. I understand they want to take a mostly scientific approach to it but the added drama between people is a real turn off for me.
We watch Ghost Hunters, though we too have lost a bit of interest... The show started out fantastic and while I too am skeptical, a lot of the show I really believed. Than they started adding kinda creepy music and re-actions, which royally annoy me. :( Hoping they pull their poop together and go more reality once again!
But I do love Ghost hunting type shows. Actually, Jen and I plan on joining a ghost hunting team here in Utah. ^_^
I have wanted to do some ghost hunting, but I have yet to do so. I get this all from my dad though, and we both want a spirit box to play with. However, we're a little wary of using any of this in our own house. It's one of those things that it would be neat to catch evidence, but what if you stir something uup that you don't want? lol
Haha! True. We have an EMF reader which we haven't really caught anything on, though we haven't used it in a while. We know this house is "haunted" because there's been a lot of unexplainable things.
Two true stories...
1. My wife was taking mirror pictures, and there was no flash or anything. She took about five pictures, one right after another in the mirror without moving. In one picture, was a black lab. Perfect head, eyes, nose, ears, chest, etc. Thing is? She and her parents didn't own any labs - nor any big dogs. All they had were two little poodles who couldn't even get that high up.
2. Shortly after my mother died, my wife and I were asleep - windows closed as it was freezing outside, no TV or radio on, etc. Really loudly right outside of our bedroom door we heard someone yell "GOOD MORNING GUYS!!!" It sounded a lot like my mom, but Jen's mom also has a bit of her accent, so I thought maybe it was her? I got up, opened the door... No one. Turns out, her mom wasn't even home. And we both heard it and no one was outside that we could see/hear, but even then, you can barely hear the neighbors when they're loud.
