Do any of you go and see your favourite artists live or go to music festivals?

I haven't been to as many concerts this year but i managed to go to Download festival which is a rock and metal festival here in the UK.
I've been there before but this year was my first time camping for the whole 5 days. I really enjoyed it apart from the fact i kept falling in the mud all the time >.<

So what concerts have you been to or would like to go to? :-D

Been to Bamboozle 2 years in a row now... Mainly to support my friends: Reverse Order Also, I used to work backstage helping with props and stuff in the Philippines, so I've had the chance to meet a few celebrities there too...

I've only been to Ozzfest once in 2002 for some reason Ozzfest hasn't come back to the UK since but now we have festivals like Download and sonisphere so it's not all bad grin

Imagine a gothic cheerleader - she's very energetic out there, and definitely a bit cheery even - and so was the wierd guy on the electronic drum machine. smile She's also surprisingly short. They did a good enjoyable performance though. And it was a bit amusing watching her on stage with The Cruxshadows at the end of the show doing Marilyn, My Bitterness - especially when she accidentally went into the chorus at the wrong point, in a very obvious way. smile

I like going to local bands. New Talent is refreshing. There's a really good jazz band that performs at a sushi restaurant here. I love going on the weekends and listening. Ive been to Strata, As i lay dying/All That Remains and Staind. I used to be super hardcore into rock haha.

going to see Kiss in May at SECC (glasgow)!!!!!!

have seen take that (the 1st time round lol), but since made up for it with The Flaming Lips (tad strange), Judas Priest (halford has amazing vocal range) and the last one was Iron Maiden...i was 7 months pregant at the time and the bump definitely reacted, and even now at nearly 3 he and his 18 month old brother are both drawn to heavier music

The only concert i have planned next is Download Festival 2010.
So far only AC/DC and Steel Panther have been confirmed. Hopefully getting a full announcement some time in January.

Wouldn't mind seeing trivium again in March.

Ferry Corsten - Feb 12, NYC
Tiesto (tentative) - March 27, Atlantic City
Armin van Buuren - April 2, NYC
Armin van Buuren - April 3, NYC
(yes I love Armin that much that i'm going to see him twice LOL)

Rodrigo y Gabriela (tentative) - April 29, NYC
(not electronic, they're a fantastic acoustic guitar playing duo)

It's my birthday that night so i'm really hoping i can go. They have over priced the tickets but i'm sure it will be worth it.

Oh dear, I obviously have VERY different taste in music to everyone here! Well I guess I like that kind of music 'back in the day' when I was 17/18 but now I love pop. Really poppy pop.

So I've seen Girls Aloud 3 times and Bananrama too! Lol and a few others but they were my faves! I really wanted to see Lady Gaga but the tickets sold out soooooo quickly! Apparently she was amazing tho! smile

I have sadly never been to a concert... But there's plenty I'd like to go too. I'd also love to hear Big Band live. <3
