I just beat Bulletstorm, still playing it though for the Echoes, Anarchy, Very Hard Campaign and mopping up the rest of the achievements. Let's see how far I'll get
I just beat Bulletstorm on hard, so any special tips for Very Hard would be cool - unless it wasn't all that bad? It's easier than GOW I think.
Congrats!!
And yes, I actually think it wasn't all that bad on Very Hard compared to other games. Upgrades and ammo are a lot more expensive this time around, so it's essential to do as many different and preferably combined skillshots as possible to rack up points = money and only spend points on what you're really going to use. It helped me a lot that I had unlocked all skillshots and three-starred all Echoes before I started Very Hard because I learnt a lot of neat combo shots in that process, e.g. charged screamer shot at the ceiling and thump the enemies to get them burning, fly-swatted and kill off the rest for a huge afterburner/quickdraw/firefighter bonus.
For me there were only two areas in the game that were a serious pain in the ass. One, the elevator tower on 6-2 where you can make like 5 mistakes while shooting the little crawlers before the whole thing blows up. The one information that made me pass it was that they always come in the same pattern (and I have no idea why I hadn't noticed this earlier): Left, Right, Left, Left, Right. Reload, next wave.
Two, the stupid room in 7-1 right after the spaceport area with like 4??! minibosses and a hell of other shooters, maniacs and other nasties cramped together in a tiny area with you in the middle. The strategy that I eventually figured out (and I'm kinda proud that it's my own) was to thump the first boss immediately after the QTE. That clears out the first wave of enemies almost instantly and leaves the boss stunned and ready to be killed. Then RUN up the stairs to the right to find the one almost safe dead-end in this room and have a charged cannonball bouncing on the stairs behind you for the rest of the time to protect you from chargers. Once I got that down the rest of the game was pretty much a breeze (not that I didn't die, but it wasn't frustrating at all).
Good luck for your VH run!!

I'm missing only 3 achievements, all in anarchy.. currently working on the 50,000 team score on one anarchy wave which needs a little more practice and luck. A friend and me ended up 3k short yesterday.. argh.
And I just beat.. Dragon Age 2. Well, last Sunday, but I feel like I should say something on topic
