Hi, I would like to send a game review to PopChiX! to post on the site, but there aren't really any guidelines for me to follow.....?
I have the email address from the FAQ, but nothing else. Do I send a picture in? Is there a specific length my review should be? Do reviews get rejected? And if they do, how do I ensure mine passes inspection? Do the games have to be current games, or can older games be reviewed as well?
Toby, all you have to do is write the review and the admins will take care of the rest. No need to limit the size or submit pictures. I believe any and all game reviews are welcomed and I wouldn't worry about your review being rejected. If it is found to not be acceptable then I'm sure an admin will contact you about it.
I wrote one for Alien vs Predator when it first came out and it never got published and I never heard anything so there has to be some way they decide but I have no idea what that is. Needless to say I haven't written one since
Hm - have you considered your review might not have arrived? Have you written a second mail asking? I really think that probably wasn't intended and something simply went wrong. And I'd really like to read that review too

As the other ladies pointed out, you don't need to sweat the small stuff. Just write your review and we'll take care of the rest. We do edit so things may change but it's mostly just spelling or grammar corrections, if needed.
It'd have to be a pretty bad review for us to reject it haha I mean if it just said something like, "This game smells like donkey butt," you can pretty much figure it'll go the way of the big silver can under my desk. Other than that, we want to encourage women to get writing!
If you have a picture you'd really like to use, you can include it but we'll hunt around for them, too

Also, from our point of view, reviews are never late We're not obsessing over being the "first to post" kind of site, there's plenty of them out there. We just want honest reviews. Sometimes later is better if the things being reviewed have hit the bargain bin
Ps - it's been saying I have "4 contributions" for a while now, but my Outland review (which would be the 4th) isn't up yet - not sure if something went wrong there too.. I'm not being impatient (especially since 2 new articles are just up), just hoping everything's good
Edit: just noticed my contribution count was raised to 5 now too - but I've only done 4, the number was correct before, just that the review wasn't up yet
