I had always been a Internet Explorer girl, but latley after I upgraded to IE8 it started getting really buggy on my computer. (I even made sure to use compatability mode).
I tried Google Chrome, and that seemed to run faster, but it doesn't support a lot of the formatting etc that IE does. Example--in the Xbox forums, it wont let me select some of the formatting options, and some websites don't display correctly.
What do you use? What have you find to be the most reliable?
I usually use Internet explorer but sometimes when watching videos i do use firefox.
I've tried using Chrome but sometimes layouts on sites don't show up right..same happens with firefox too.
Can get quite annoying when i'm trying to do html.
I use Firefox the most... The only time I will use IE is if a link I click connects me to it... Then immediately switch back to Firefox once I'm done... Lesser risk for viruses... >_<
At home I use FireFox as my main browser. At work I use Explorer. I don't really have a preference on the browser I use. I just wish sites would work with all browsers so I wouldn't have to launch a different one just to get some work done.
I use Firefox, IE won't even start up on my PC when I click the icon... its probably version 3 or something silly, it has been that long since I used it.
Definitely down with Firefox. I've had IE hijacked a few times (such as when starting it up I'd get crazy p0rn pop ups - NOT cool, especially since I have kids), so I just use Firefox.
I use Firefox primarily. Only a few sites do I need IE for. I can't spell or type, so as long as I don't type the wrong word, Firefox keeps me from looking too stupid. Love auto spell check!!!
I use Firefox the most. For some sites, or just on random days, I'll use Internet Explorer. I like the spell check FireFox has, and my formatting in posts tends to be more preserved.
Its a royal pain having to swap around browsers. Will someone make a damn awesome browser that works for eeevveeryythinngg?!
That's what I'm saying!
I dont get why its so difficult lol. Grrr.

Auto spell check is a life saver. I type too quickly and never check my spelling so having a browser that does it for me is awesome.
I agre that FireFox is awesome. I really like the auto spell check feature which can be a lifesaver, since I type so fast that I can't be bothered to spell correctly!
But ever since I updated Firefox to the latest version, it's been acting weird and freezing on me. And now it doesn't seem to work well with the Xbox forums. Maybe I need tore-install it, because it's seeming really buggy--when usually it's IE that is having all the problems.
It may have skipped a few things while it was being DL'd... 'Cause I'm using the most recent version and it's working fine... I go to Filehippo for ANY free software versions... You may wanna check it out...
I have always used Firefox but lately I've started to use Flock instead. It's made by the same people as Firefox and in my opinion Flock runs much smoother.
I use Firefox most of the time. At work to use one program I have to use IE for the best compatibility, otherwise I only use IE if the site doesn't support Firefox. I have safari on my mac which I rarely use, as firefox is what I use the most often and use to the most.
I do web design so I always have several browsers installed but I consistently have both Firefox and IE8 open and just use them for different things. I agree with the OP that IE8 just seems to get worse all the time. I've always been partial to IE because I worked on IE3 but IE8 has not impressed me at all. It does a couple things I like but a lot of things I don't and it's seriously slow if your cache isn't primed and it's a massive memory hog. Chrome is really fast but like you said it is lacking in a couple of areas.

On my iMac I only use Firefox.
I also do some (amateur) web design and it's so annoying to get layouts to match across the different browsers, and you never know which ones to cover, and you have to worry about how it looks on Firefox on a PC and Firefox on a Mac etc... talk about annoying. It would be nice if we could all just have one web browser but it's a product and there can't be a monopoly and blah blah blah. Would be nice though xD. I usually use Firefox for browsing the web, and I also heard that Chrome is really fast but isn't compatible with a lot of sites (mainly due to the fact that web designers haven't had a lot of time to adapt, no?) I'd stick with Firefox for now personally.
