i brought Diner dash ages ago, i fancied playing it the other night but when i tried to play it, it said i only had the trial game which i know i dont because i have achievements in it. so i re downloaded it from my purchase history as it wasnt available on the marketplace.
ive just found out through 360a that diner dash, marble blast and the whole Developers has disapeared, im guessing they went out of business. But i still should be able to play the game that i paid for, i cannot. and im incredably peed off about it.
does anyone else have the same issue with diner dash?
does anyone know who i can contact in order to get my money back for a game i cannot complete
I have no idea. I do know that Marvel did that with their dlc, the only way we were able to complete it is because hubby bought it when it was still available so as long as I was playing split screen with him I had the dlc that wasn't available anymore. But he was able to redownload it from his history so I'm not sure why you can't. And our 9 yr old was just playing Marble Blast a week or two ago... I will ask him if he had to redownload it and where he had to download it from.
But I think that if it is IMPOSSIBLE to complete a game there should be some way to fix it. In my case it is Lord of the Rings BFME II, they took down the servers so you can't play it online anymore. I thought a rule on achievements was that they had to be obtainable. GRR.
Wow, that doesn't sound right at all. I've never heard of a game turning back to a trial if redownloaded unless it was downloaded on a different console. Have you tried @ing http://twitter.com/#!/XboxSupport ? They may be able to at least give you an answer.

i was downloaded on a different console, but i transfered the whole data ( using one of microsoft data thingys) to my new console, and ive played it on my new console so ihave no idea why i wont work now. ill try the link you posted later today. ( gotta take the spawn to her 12 month review in less than an hour)
I had this happen with one of the board/card game type XBLA titles, I can't remember the title now though. My first xbox rrod'd, and when I went to download the game to my new 360, it wouldn't let me because the game was removed from the marketplace. I have heard of this happening before to others over the years and it really stinks.
It's funny to me that stuff like this happens but publishers keep pushing the whole download only model and saying brick and mortar is going the way of the dodo. There are advantages to both models but I don't think download only is going to kill off physical medium any time soon. Especially when you can no longer download something you've rightfully purchased.
I know I did the license migration. It is something with games that are removed from the marketplace, you can't transfer them to a new hard drive to play. I remember the last time I read up on it, it wasn't something that was going to change, ever. The one I got screwed on was Lost Cities, but I'm sure there are more now that I see a longer list of removed games.

Hubby and I have moved xbox's a lot and he can still download the Marvel dlc which is no longer available if he goes to his download history?
