My boyfriend got this a few days ago. He has left the game at my house and I am so tempted to play it.
Is it as good as people make it out to be?
The visuals are stunning but the game is basically doing quests when someone asks your character to help them. For instance, a man in a bar asks you to fetch a flower that can cure his sick wife. Once you go to the swamp and pick the flower, the quest ends. And, there's lots of driving around in old dune buggies, etc and entering races to upgrade your buggy, etc. I'm a terrbile driver in just about any game (RAGE, Borderlands, etc) so I really don't like that part of the game as I crash alot

I have a long list of quests I need to do but I really don't want to do any of the quests where driving is envolved - not sure what that will do in the way of getting achievements, so I guess I'll see. But, so far, RAGE has been fun. It's made by the same studio that made Quake. Oh, I just wanted to mention that RAGE has no story whatsoever and I love games with a good story (Deus Ex: Human Revolution, Black Ops, Assassin's Creed series, LA Noire, ex). So, for me, that's a drawback.
