Anyone else playing Aion? I just started on the week-end. It's my first pay-to-play MMO and so far I'm loving it. I could never get past the aesthetic of WoW and other MMOs, but this game looks great, and I love the character customization. I don't have a lot of gaming time (4 kids does that, apparently), so I don't expect to level up too fast, but I'm having fun with it so far.
ya killin' me. I really need a new computer but i am trying to not let AION be the reason i get one! that game is amazing but since i have addictive tendencies i am trying to look away.lol
I read about the queue times, but it hasn't been a problem for me. I even joined a high volume server to play with friends, and once I had to wait 3 min to get in, any other time was fine. I think it was just a launch issue.
Is there a like a 14 day trial available yet? I really want to try it (I ended up missing the beta! I had it downloaded and everything!). I'm not sure I should get into another MMO right now....I have toons in WoW, Guild Wars, LOTR, WAR, Conan that I should play. But this looks so good!!!! I almost can't resist.
There's no trial yet, hopefully soon! I played a bit in the beta, only made it to level 7 but it was fun. I played Guild Wars (maybe I know some of you from when Sinnix and I ran Crossing Tyria?) and that's about it for MMOs for me. Something about Aion just grabbed me though... the good graphics definitely help! Haven't had much of a chance to group up with anyone, but if you want to add me to your friends list I'm playing Zylaar in Tirinel.
My main is an Ely Cleric called Cherish on Gorgos. I also have an Asmo Chanter called Cher on Perento. I usually play in the mornings or afternoons, despite them having fixed the long queues. Loving the game so far. I did try out Age of Conan and Warhammer when they came out, but didn't make it past the first month. I think I'll be sticking with this one ^_^
Hey everybody! I know the thread is a bit old, but I'm new here and wanted to see if anybody was still playing? I've been playing since the betas and I love the game. Not the same as FFXI, but change isn't necessarily bad, lol. If anybody is playing... I'm Svetlanya (an asmodian) on the Zikel server.
Aww, Warhammer was fun! I heard they recently consolodated their servers down to 4 though... is that true?! Makes me kind of sad if it is.. I had so much fun on that game with my Archmage!!
