Well, a few days ago, Jenny and I picked up D&D - 4th edition.

So far, we've been reading a LOT... And playing with our dungeon tiles and mini's. >.> XD

Just wondering if any other chix (or anyone else for that matter) plays?

I play, we have a group that tries to get together every weekend. (I'm the only girl :( ) We're playing another tabletop at the moment, but I'm looking forward to getting back to real D&D myself!

Do you have the 4th Edition character creator? It's a godsend.

I'd love to play in a group or get one started. It's so hard to find a good DM though :(

Not for many years sadly. In my early 20s I played fairly regularly but then I moved away to the town I currently live in and just haven't found anyone out here who plays.

I have always wanted to play, but I don't have any local friends who play. My husband would be willing to try...but a 2 person game is not really possible is it? I don't know how to start, LoL

A two person game IS possible, if you're just starting out. It IS confusing though raspberry But it'll at least give you an idea.

Also, something to try... http://www.rptools.net/ and then go to downloads and MapTool. Jenny (my wife) just found this program and oh my gosh, it is SO cool. You basically can create your own D&D map, on the computer, which is fun in itself. However, you can also host a game and play with friends from anywhere in the world!!!

We're hoping to try this out, once we gather a few people. We don't have any local friends who play either. raspberry

I dabbled a bit in college, but there isn't really anyone that I know of that plays a serious game in my local area. I'd love to start back up, but I haven't really been successful in focusing on it.

Where do you find folks to play with? I have thought about posting on Craigslist, but that's a bit...scary.

..I think scary would not begin to sum it up! You could try meetup.com, and start searching for a D&D game near you. Or try to start your own!

We haven't found anyone in RL yet... Haven't even tried. I've just been using RPTools. Haven't actually started a game with anyone but my wife yet. ^_^

I'll let you know how tis goes, once we do!

I've never done D&D but I have played Vampire The Masquerade and currently am playing In Nomine. It's a game based on the precarious balance of good and evil where you play angels and demons.

MissTique and I play with our S.O.'s and two co-workers, we're playing 4th ed, and managing to meet up about once a week - ish. We use a combination of paper & pencil and technology, and use a few programs - one to build characters, and one that builds dungeons

Love D&D! Hadn't played in a few years, but we picked up some 4e supplies and now we're playing with the older two kids. It's awesome fun, and as much as I don't love the changes made with 4e it really did help make the game accessible. My 8 year old does very well, b/c the gameplay is so streamlined. I think if I were to play with all adults, I'd still prefer 3e, but for a family game 4e is awesome. My 10 year old has gotten a couple of friends into it, and now he's wanting his stepdad to DM for them. We've come full circle! smile
