Kindle vs Nook vs Sony Reader

Your best bet is to go with one of the non-color versions of the nook or Kindle, so you wont put too much strain on your eyes. As far as which brand, that would be difficult for me to recommend without being bias. I've had every version of the nook and would not have it any other way. I like the fact that if I have a problem with my nook tablet I can take it to a B&N and get free support.

If you find that the screen has too much glare during the day then I would recommend buying a screen protector that reduces glare. You can get one for $20-$30. I suggest making a list of 5 or 10 of your favorite authors and then comparing their availability on B&N and Amazon.
