This may be more of a question than a request, unless it doesn't exist. Is there a way to set your preferences to never "Notify me via email when someone posts in this thread?" Seems like the auto check should be the opposite of what it is. I couldn't find a setting for it, only the box of current subscriptions which I turned them all off. smile

Check out the email settings in your control panel. There should be an option called, "Enable email notifications by default when you post messages". Just uncheck that and you should be all set! You can then manually select any posts you want to follow each time you reply.

If it doesn't work, let me know! smile

i'd love to be able to put a banner in my signature. that might already be possible and i just haven't figured it out yet. tongue laugh

also, i noticed the drop down menu at the bottom of the screen that reads, "Gray." Does that mean new themes/color choices are coming for the forums?

i love the set-up of this site. it looks clean and crisp and professional. the organization is great, and i'm sure with time the forums will be overflowing with posts. the set-up just lends itself to more serious, quality posts than other forums i've visited, and i'm very pleased with how it's all unfolding. great job!

I just thougt of something. Now, I looked before I typed this, but forgive me if I over looked it.

Is it possible to add under our "Control Panel" a way to set up a default font, color & size? To save that extra step of doing it every time we post.

Once again....I'm sorry if I overlooked it!

Unfortunately, I don't think it stores that kind of info. It would be a pretty hefty hack, too. I will add it to the list of "would love to haves" but I'm not sure it could happen anytime soon.

Just turned it on for everyone. See if you can upload one now. Max size is 600 x 100 and 75k

I also noticed today that there is a personal setting that allows the banners to be blocked. I think that is awesome as I stopped going to another site due to the garish banners in the signatures. It was bad. I don't think they had a limit and it was hard to see the conversations. Your set size is perfect. I had a small signature from another site I will bring over.

And I am liking it here more and more. Thank you for working hard on this site.

[EDIT] Look it works. [EDIT AGAIN] Didn't like it so I removed it. LOL

I just noticed the "Ignore" feature. ohh Not that I want to ignore anyone here, but that is an awesome feature. There have been times in the past where that could come in handy.

Is there a personal preference option to view threads so the most recent posts are at the top?

It's very fustrating that this forum automatically 'subscribes' you to a thread you reply too... I check my emails, and it has been spammed by PopChix!

Uhmm, if you're at forum home, there's a "View New Posts" button...

I know about that option. I'm talking about being able to read any/all forum tread posts in descending order instead of ascending order. It's an xbox.com forum preference option I've come to appreciate and love.

Ahh... THAT... Yeah, I dunno... I haven't found an option for that yet either... But I KNOW the admins will see this... ^_^

This is still happening? It shouldn't be. You should have to actually check the box to be notified now. Let me know!
