Have any of you ladies picked this up? What do you think of it? I want to get a new game for my wii since I hardly turn it on and It's gotten pretty good reviews but I want to know what you ladies have to say about it.
UPDATE - awhile ago I did rent this title. Ugh. I have to say I was pretty disappointed with it. The game plays on rails - I didn't know what that meant until I got this. Basically - you're taken along for the ride, and you just shoot and grab things. You can not explore the maps at all. I liked the style of game development ok in titles like Rayman Raving Rabbids (what's not to love about a First person plunger shooter), but this just killed it for me in Dead Space Extraction. Also, I don't feel this is a game for someone who hadn't really played the first one because certain things are obvious like lockers and flashing green crates can be opened for extra ammo and stuff. I played with a friend (who never played the first Dead Space) and not even midway thru the first level they were out of ammo because they didn't know what to look for. Graphics aren't great either - which I could live wth if the game play was fun, but it wasn't for me. There were minigames incorporated as well (I remember one involving the rivet gun) but they were ok. Also, I didn't like the whole damsel in distress theme that kept occurring in the story line with female character Lexine. Honestly, it was nice to see another Dead Space game, but I couldn't finish it. Maybe the story ended up being ultra awesome at the end, but I couldn't get that far in to care.
