Just curious if it is even feasible to add a blog feature for members on this site, kinda like what they do at CAG. This might help generate more content for the popchix site. Obviously, not all blogs would be good enough to make the front page, but there could be an option for authors to submit for publication (instead of emailing a document to the appropriate popchix email addr, the author could use some predefined tags and the website would forward to the appropriate person based on that) or maybe even have an option for readers to recommend a specific blog for publication if it's really good.

i like it!! or maybe have a blog editor, a popchix member who writes a weekly blog on whats going on in a gaming life, that blog editor then has the ability to update her blog herself, releasing some stress off the admin.

It would make getting published easier.
You could really connect with fellow female gamers.

I dislike because...

As a blogger, I already have my daily blog, a gaming blog and two "adult" blogs. (My daily blog is for everyone, while I stick the 18 and up stuff in the others.)
Plus, while PopChiX is great, there are many well known blogging websites out there to choose from. Which is less for for everyone.

I dunno, either way, it's a good idea!

I would like to write a blog, and also it would be a great way for members to get to know each other better. I think its a great idea!

Well, what I mean is, not everyone I follow and not everyone who follows me is into gaming. Especially on my daily blog. Plus with my daily blog, I go all out with custom layouts, buttons, a blog roll, pages, etc.

Not sure if that makes much sense, but I kind of like being part of a big blogging site/community. Not to say I wouldn't blog on PopChix, but I think making a blog feature, plus layouts, etc. would take a lot of work. Not sure though!

well considering its a gaming site, im asuming people on here would be blogging about gaming, right? so the regulars that visit this site would be the ones reading the blogs???

if a few people already have blogs then wouldnt it be better for the people who dont have blogs to be the one participating in a popchix blog ( if one was ever made)

I would say the average person doesn't maintain 4 separate blogs (obviously, there are exceptions). If they even blog at all, the most they would maintain would be either 1 or 2. Honestly, blogging is not the "in" thing anymore - most people tweet or facebook. My main reason for even suggesting this was to get more publishable content for Popchix. They really don't want people to submit articles for publication here that that are posted on other sites or blogs already. So if you have an established, successful gaming blog, I say just stick with that. No one is going to have hard feelings if you choose not to blog here. The blog feature would be for those who don't maintain blogs and feel like blogging once in a while or who just want to blog on a gaming site in general.

If they do give us a blog option (which I'm not saying they will), I would hope they implemented something similar to what is over at CAG. When you check out the blog section, they list the latest entries first -- so it's not like you get blogs for one writer only. You get a view of ALL blogs that were submitted recently (so I guess it's kinda like a facebook news feed). Here is the link if anyone is interested in checking it out:

i dont have any blogs - i did write articles for a female gaming site once before, but the site is no longer in operation. and i have noticed the content on the home page is a little "lacking"
