Brand: PowerMat
Price Range: $99.99 USD
Buy It!: Buy Powermat PMM-PT100 Portable Mat (Black) »
Our Score:

If you are a geek like me, your household probably has wires everywhere and is starting to look like an electronics store. Don’t you wish at times that gadgets could be wire-free? Powermat has now come out with a portable wireless charging mat: Portable Mat. The Portable Mat is a one mat and plug-in system that can recharge up to three Powermat-enabled devices at once-wirelessly!

The Portable Mat includes:
• Portable Mat
• Universal, International power supply (Energy Star level 5, 100-240V) with built-in cord management
• Travel case with magnetic closure
• Powercube Universal Receiver with 8 tips

With the Portable Mat you are able to charge your DS, Blackberry and iPhone wirelessly but you will need to purchase separate receivers for each device in order to use it with the Portable Mat. If you are still interested in purchasing this item- the Portable Mat will be $99 and the receivers are $30-$40 each. While it is a really neat device and it includes a Powercube Universal Receiver ($29.99 value), I am sure there are less expensive ways to charge your devices.

Great concept but expensive. Rather just plug everything in.

Exactly. I thought it was cool, but I wouldn't spend the money to buy it smile

Maybe if the receivers were already built into the phone this would be more feasible.

Yeah that is a good point. Then it might be worth the money instead of having to dish out money for the mat and plus the receivers
