I often find the sound of the 60's to have an inspirational impact on me. The music from that time period had soul, heart, and meaning. Leaving out my strange crush to Philip Seymour Hoffman, this is one of the reason I am excited about Richard Curtis' new film, Pirate Radio. A period comedy about an illegal radio station in the North Sea in the 1960's, Pirate Radio's Soundtrack is a 2-disk track packed music celebration. From The Who to Jimi Hendrix, the soundtrack is surely to rock your socks off. Just looking over the tracklisting makes my heart flutter! I often have said I was born too

Next Monday, September 28th, Anya Singleton will be performing at the Bitter End in NYC. Part of the proceeds will be donated to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.

Anya's style encompasses blues, jazz and pop and the result is a sound that commands your attention. I will admit, I haven't been a real fan of female singers in the past couple of decades. None of them seem to have had the passion to make me want to listen. The past year or so, however, this previous lack of strong female voices is being made up for with groups like Flyleaf, Lacuna Coil, Paramore, and now Anya. While

Have you ever wondered what would happen if three bands with extremely distinctive sounds would collide on one stage? Yeah, me either. However, The Crocodile -- located in Seattle, Washington-- decided to play mad scientist and unite Mad Rad, Dyme Def and Head Like a Kite. Result? Absolute magic.

I am an avid fan of live shows -- I live for them. The energy, soul, and heart an artist can pour into his songs and the audience is something that can never be translated into a recorded format. With that said, I have also been to many shows where the artists are stale, boring and don't create a

If you have been a gamer for the past 13 years, then you have heard of Junkie XL -- or at least his music. Junkie XL first appeared in the videogame music scene on EA's Need for Speed game in 1995. From then on, Junkie XL has invaded your eardrum with his electronic scores and remixes on such games as SSX 3, Grand Turismo 3, Test Drive and many more. One of the last projects to come out of his Venice Beach studio was a remix for Lisa Miskovsky's Still Alive for Mirror's Edge remixes soundtrack (which I reviewed recently). I stayed up all night to chat with Junkie XL about his work on the
