I'm not 40, I'm not single, and I don't have children, but Cougar Town starring Courtney Cox has the been the one show I've marked my calendar for since I saw the add on the back of one of my boyfriend's FHM magazines.  And it didn't disappoint.

Cougar Town, which innocently derives it's name from the local high school's mascot, the Cougar--but obviously eludes to the slang term of an older woman who prefers younger men--follows Jules Cobb (Courtney Cox), a real estate agent and recently divorced woman in her forties with a 17-year-old son who attempts to slide her way back into the dating

Living in a world surrounded by zombies doesn't sound entertaining-but in "Zombieland" it is! The movie revolves around four main characters: Tallahassee (Woody Harrelson), Columbus (Jesse Eisenberg), Wichita (Emma Stone) and Little Rock (Abigail Breslin). The foursome end up working as a team to find a place where the "infection" that caused the zombie outbreak hasn't spread. This movie had me either laughing until I almost cried or squinting my eyes from the gruesome, splattering blood that occurred during most of the scenes.

At this year's Video Music Awards (VMA) I laughed - and I cried. With Kanye West being present, it was guaranteed to be a show. Russell Brand who apparently was trying to get into girls' pants that night hosted the VMAs. Among them were Katy Perry, Lady Gaga and Megan Fox. Nonetheless, the VMAs paid tribute to the King of Pop - Michael Jackson. Some may not be fans of MJ, but I grew up listening to him and fell in love with his music regardless of any allegations brought against him from the media. I try to go and see as many movies as I can during screenings. I absolutely love them. It's worth standing in line for an hour to see the movie. Other than the fact that it's free, you can also get official movie goodies when you're walking out. It's also quiet, eerily quiet. There are no cell phones going off, people with crying babies are asked to step outside, you don't have that couple who decides to have an argument during the middle of the movie. The movie theater transforms into a total movie watching experience.

Last weekend, I paid my $10 to see District 9. It was the first movie I had actually looked forward to going to in a while. Since Neill Blomkamp was directing, I had high hopes. Plus, you know, my loudmouthed Twitter friends wouldn't shut up about how great it was. (It's all love.)
