Living in a world surrounded by zombies doesn't sound entertaining-but in "Zombieland" it is! The movie revolves around four main characters: Tallahassee (Woody Harrelson), Columbus (Jesse Eisenberg), Wichita (Emma Stone) and Little Rock (Abigail Breslin). The foursome end up working as a team to find a place where the "infection" that caused the zombie outbreak hasn't spread. This movie had me either laughing until I almost cried or squinting my eyes from the gruesome, splattering blood that occurred during most of the scenes.
The movie finds the main character, Columbus, walking through states to get to Columbus, Ohio in order to reunite with his family. Along the way, he comes across Tallahassee - as suggested by the name, he is driving to Tallahassee, Florida. They both agree to travel together but Columbus soon finds out that Tallahassee has a strange problem. During the search for the cure to Tallahasse's problem, they run into two sisters called Wichita and Little Rock who possess a special talent.
During their adventure, Columbus comes up with a set of rules based on his encounters with the zombies. The list is fairly long and you will have to watch the movie to find out what they were. I definitely had my favorites including one that had to do with making sure what looked dead really was dead.
There is a small part of the movie where it is a little slow (about 5 minutes) where certain relationships are formed.
As the title suggests, there are some scenes at an amusement park. As soon as I saw this, I started thinking, "Zombieland the Video Game!"
This movie is definitely a must see. The cast was awesome. I was laughing throughout the entire movie and the cameo by Bill Murray was hilarious as well. Even though Jesse Eisenberg did a great job with Columbus's character, I could still see Michael Cera from Superbad playing that role. I give it a 5 out of 5.
